Dr. Kathryn Ferrante grew up in South Florida, where she attended the prestigious Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wake Forest (cum laude) in North Carolina with Minors in Dance and Chemistry.

She continued her studies in the biological sciences at New York University, completing a master’s degree in Oral Biology with the highest honors.
While attending NYU, Dr. Ferrante taught undergraduate biology laboratory courses, researched oral biofilms under her mentor, Dr. Simone Duarte, and assisted in the predoctoral dental clinic.

Dr. Ferrante was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (cum laude) from Tufts University. While at Tufts, she was designated as a merit and a research scholar. She conducted research with her mentor, Dr. Driss Zoukhri, on the cellular biology surrounding dry mouth and dry eye syndrome. She also mentored, tutored, and was a teaching assistant in the predoctoral clinic, continuing education department, and medicine department.

After graduating from Tufts Dental School, Dr. Ferrante worked in private practice as well as for the Harvard University Health Services and Harvard School of Dental Medicine at Harvard Dental Center. She has also had the opportunity to teach in the predoctoral practice at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Ferrante has a special interest in general dentistry, comprehensive care, and patient education. She strives to ensure her patients thoroughly understand their oral health using a team approach between provider and patient.

When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Ferrante enjoys exploring the Greater Boston Area, hiking, biking, and travelling with her husband, two children, and their cockapoo, Magnolia.
