Dr. Ryota Kikuchi graduated from Nihon University School of Dentistry in 1998 and worked as a general dentist in Tokyo, Japan for 8 years. He received a postgraduate certificate degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) in 2007. He then taught the program for 3 years before joining the Advance Standing Program at BUGSDM and earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with high honors in 2012.
After completing his studies, Dr. Kikuchi taught as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of General Dentistry at BUGSDM, receiving The Outstanding Faculty Award in 2013 and 2014. He also served as a general dentist at the BU Dental Health Center for 7 years before joining The Restorative Dental Group of Cambridge. He maintains the full-time faculty position at BUGSDM as he’s passionate about teaching future dentists to provide quality oral health care.
For Dr. Kikuchi, successful treatment starts with the patient-dentist relationship. A strong believer in good communication, he enjoys collaborating with the other in-house specialties to provide patients the best comprehensive care possible.
